Serbia will be looking to keep the good momentum and record their fourth win on the spin on Friday evening when they take on Jordan in a friendly on the neutral venue of the Generali Arena in Vienna.
Knowing about the Serbian population in the Austrian capital, we can expect a big support from the stands for the Eagles who generally head into this as heavy favorites due to a massive gulf in quality between the teams.
However, we must say that head coach Dragan Stojkovic can’t count on three of his main strikers as Aleksandar Mitrovic, Luka Jovic, and Dusan Vlahovic are all injured at the moment.
Serbia have relied on stern defensive showings in the opening two UEFA EURO qualifiers against Lithuania and Montenegro in March.
The Eagles claimed two separate 2-0 wins to get off to a flying start to the qualifying campaign. They will tackle Bulgaria in the next round on Tuesday evening in Sofia.
This is why we can expect Stojkovic to rotate his squad heavily after the half-time on Friday with the aim to keep the main stars fresh for the much more important qualifier next week.
Jordan, on the other side, continue their preparation period for the 2024 Asian Cup in January.
