Hatayspor took advantage of the easier schedule at the start of the new Super Lig campaign to go unbeaten in the opening three matches.
They have destroyed top-flight debutants Pendikspor 1-5 on the road on the opening day before playing two consecutive goalless draws against Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor.
The team led by Volkan Demirel will now face the toughest test so far as Adana Demirspor come to visit Mersin on Sunday evening in Matchday No 4.
Adana took four out of six possible points from the opening two matches of the season. They had a free weekend last time out but were in action on Thursday night in the tough UEFA Conference League playoffs playoffs tie against Belgian side Genk.
Adana play attacking football under new manager Patrick Kluivert. Each of seven games they have played this season in all competitions has produced goals at both ends.
It will be very interesting to see how Adana’s talented attacking line will cope with the stern Hatayaspor defense here.
