Leganes have avoided defeat in three of their five home league games this season
Sevilla have failed to win five of their six away La Liga matches this term
Leganes have kept clean sheets in their last two home games
Cucumbers are growing in confidence
Leganes’ growing confidence and in-form goalkeeper could be the key to the promoted side taking at least a point from Saturday’s La Liga clash at home to Sevilla.
The Cucumbers were rarely sliced apart by the more established teams at the start of the campaign, but they still only won one of their first 10 games.
Scoring goals was an issue, but they seem to have at least fixed that problem in the past couple of games – a 3-0 home win over Celta Vigo and a 4-3 defeat at Girona.
Sevilla strikers have been firing blanks
They look much more potent right now than Sevilla’s lacklustre forward line of Isaac Romero and Kelechi Iheanacho, who have zero goals between them.
Leganes keeper Marko Dmitrovic will also be highly motivated to do well after he was allowed to leave Sevilla on a free transfer in the summer. The irony is that the man he lost his place to, Orjan Nyland, suffered an injury in Sevilla’s last league game and will miss this fixture and a few more.
Garcaa Pimienta’s side have failed to win five of their six away La Liga matches this term and look well worth opposing in their current state.
Predictions:Leganes Double Chance (Win or Draw) Leganes 2-1
