Cagey clash at Bloomfield Road
Under 2.5 goals is the bet to go for when Blackpool take on Cambridge United in League One at Bloomfield Road on Saturday. There have been under 2.5 goals in 14 of Cambridge’s 24 league games this season.
Both teams have lost more games than they have won this season, but Blackpool are eight places above Cambridge United in 15th, with seven wins and eight defeats, while the visitors are 23rd with four wins and 15 losses.
Blackpool are hard to beat, having avoided defeat in seven of their last eight League One games. Cambridge United, on the other hand, are struggling with six defeats in their last eight league matches.
Blackpool’s games have also been low-scoring affairs recently. There have been under 2.5 goals in four of their last six League One home games, and they have played three games in a row at Bloomfield Road that have featured no more than two goals.
Cambridge United come into this game on a run of five straight defeats while Blackpool are on a run of draws, so it could be hard to separate these two sides. The 1-1 draw looks like the best correct-score bet, with Blackpool’s last two League One games finishing 1-1.
