Bayer look to close the gap at the top
Bayer Leverkusen are in the winning habit and should be backed away at Leipzig on Saturday. Xabi Alonso’s side have won their last three Bundesliga road games and have only lost one of their last 33 away league matches.
Bayer Leverkusen are three places above Leipzig in the table, but the two sides are separated by ten points.
Bayer Leverkusen beat Monchengladbach 3-1 in their last Bundesliga game on Saturday, justifying their price of 2/7 to win. They have now won nine of the 14 games in which they’ve scored first this season.
Leipzig’s recent form has been inconsistent, with three wins, one draw, and two defeats in their last six Bundesliga games. They ended Bayer Leverkusen’s three-game winning run over them in the last meeting between the sides in August, beating them 3-2.
However, the visitors have a solid defence, having conceded just 10 goals in eight away games this season and can secure a comfortable success.
A repeat of Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-1 victory against Monchengladbach in their last game is the correct score pick. Leipzig conceded three goals in their most recent league match – a 3-3 draw at Bochum – and Leverkusen are in good scoring form.
