These two sides couldn’t be split in Thursday’s first-leg, which finished 1-1 in Austria. Serbia are out to keep their place at the top table in the Nations League after finishing behind Spain and Denmark in autumn’s group stage, while Austria finished two-points shy of Norway in the second-tier.
A 2-1 defeat at Norway ultimately cost Austria top spot in their group, while they also slipped up in a 1-1 draw at Slovenia. Sunday’s visit to Serbia will be another tough test against a side who didn’t concede across their three home games at the highest level.
Serbia lost only once at home since the start of 2023 and they scored twice in three of their four home matches in Euro 2024 qualifying. They meet an Austria side who slipped out of the top level of the Nations League in 2022, following 2-0 defeats at Denmark and France.
